The FOWS-STP has been running for a few years. Aside from computer classes, English, Nursing Aide, Dressmaking, Tailoring, Cosmetology, International Cuisine, Business Counselling, Advanced Bookkeeping, Accounting, Basic Legal Secretarial training courses are also offered... even Guitar and Ballroom Dancing!

As early as October or November last year, some volunteers have already been coordinating with the Philippine Embassy's Labor Attache Mrs. Merriam Quasay and the FOWS-STP Principal, Encar Montales or Manang Encar, regarding the donation of used computers from a Singapore school. The project proposal was prepared and had since been submitted to two Singaporean schools about to dispose their old computers.

Things had been quiet for a while, without any further response from the schools. In the meantime, Apple Computer (South Asia) lent support by loaning us a number of iBooks on alternate Sundays.

A third school was approached with the proposal. Within a few days, Greenview Secondary School approved the donation of its used Macs on May 22, 2001.
